Service changes
This page explains common service changes you can make after purchase, and where to request changes that are not self-service.
Common types of service changes
Depending on the product, you may be able to request or perform changes such as:
- Upgrading/downgrading a plan (resources or billing cycle)
- Adding optional features (if available)
- Changing the operating system (often via reinstall/rebuild for OneCloud)
- Adding IP addresses (subject to availability and approval)
OneCloud (cloud instances)
Common OneCloud changes include:
- Resize/upgrade CPU/RAM (and sometimes disk, depending on plan)
- Rebuild/reinstall the VM with a different image
- Start/stop/reboot from the OneCloud panel
Note
Changing the VM’s region/location is typically not available as an in-place change. To switch regions, deploy a new VM in the desired region and migrate data.
Bare Metal (dedicated servers)
Bare metal changes depend on hardware and datacenter capabilities:
- Some upgrades (RAM, storage) may be possible, subject to availability
- Certain changes may require downtime or scheduling
- Location changes are not possible; moving datacenters requires ordering a new server and migrating
Important
For bare metal hardware upgrades or special requests, contact Sales/Support with your server ID and required change.
Where to request changes
- If the option is available in the Client Area, you can submit it directly from the service page.
- If it is not listed, open a support ticket and include:
- Service ID
- Requested change
- Preferred maintenance window (if downtime is expected)
Billing impact
Service changes may affect billing:
- Upgrades can generate a new invoice or prorated charge (depending on product)
- Downgrades may apply on renewal rather than immediately (depending on product)
Tip
Always review the pricing shown in the Client Area before confirming a service change.
