OneCloud limits and quotas
OneCloud uses limits and quotas to keep the platform stable and to help prevent abuse. These limits may apply per account, per project, or per region, and they can vary depending on account status and usage history.
What limits/quotas can apply
Depending on your account and selected region, you may encounter limits such as:
- Maximum number of instances (VMs)
- Maximum CPU / RAM totals across instances
- Maximum storage totals (or per instance)
- Limits on public IP addresses
- Limits on how many resources can be created in a specific region
- Limits related to account age, verification status, or payment history
Where to see your limits
If your account has visible quota information, it is typically shown in the OneCloud interface during resource creation (for example when creating a VM) or in the project/account overview.
If you receive an error during deployment, it may indicate a quota limit for that resource or region.
What happens when you reach a limit
When you reach a quota/limit, you may be unable to:
- Create a new VM
- Increase resources (CPU/RAM/storage) beyond allowed amounts
- Allocate additional IP addresses
- Deploy to a specific region if regional quotas/capacity are exceeded
How to resolve quota issues
Common options include:
- Delete unused resources (instances, snapshots, storage—depending on what is available)
- Deploy in another region if the limitation is region-specific
- Request a quota increase by contacting Sales/Support with:
- Your account email
- What you are trying to create (instance size, count, region)
- Your expected usage (short description)
- Any relevant deadline
Note
Quota increases are not guaranteed. Requests are reviewed based on platform capacity, account history, and risk checks.
Capacity vs quotas (important difference)
- Capacity: the region may be temporarily full for new deployments (even if your quota allows it).
- Quota: your account/project has a limit even if the region has capacity.
If a region is not available in the order form or OneCloud creation page, it is usually a capacity issue. If you see an error about exceeding limits, it is usually a quota issue.
