Deploy an instance

Deploy an instance

This guide walks you through deploying a OneCloud VM (instance) from the Client Area.

Important

OneCloud availability is capacity-based by region. If your preferred location is not shown during deployment, it is not currently available for new VMs.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • An active OneProvider account
  • A valid payment method (if required for your order)
  • An idea of the region/location closest to your users
  • The OS image you want to deploy (Linux or Windows)

Step 1: Open OneCloud

  1. Log in to the OneProvider Client Area.
  2. Open OneCloud (cloud instances section).

Step 2: Select or create a project

Projects are used to organize your cloud resources.

  • If you already have a project, select it.
  • If not, create a new project (name it based on purpose, e.g., production or testing).

Step 3: Start instance creation

Click Create instance / Deploy VM (button label may vary).

Step 4: Choose location (region)

Select the region where you want the VM to be deployed.

Note

If a region is not listed, it is unavailable for new deployments at the moment. You can select another available region or try again later.

Step 5: Choose an OS image

Pick the image you want to install (for example, a Linux distribution or Windows Server).

Tip

Choose an OS version that is still supported by the vendor and receives security updates.

Step 6: Choose resources (plan)

Select the VM size/resources you need (such as CPU, RAM, and storage).

If you’re unsure, start smaller and scale later (if your plan supports resizing).

Step 7: Configure access (SSH key / password)

How you access the VM depends on the OS:

  • Linux: typically via SSH (recommended: SSH key-based login)
  • Windows: typically via RDP (credentials are provided after provisioning)

If prompted, add or select an SSH key for Linux deployments.

Step 8: Review and deploy

Review the configuration (region, image, size) and confirm deployment.

Provisioning typically starts immediately after confirmation.

Step 9: Get the VM details

After the VM is created, open the instance details page to find:

  • Public IP address (if assigned)
  • Status (running/stopped)
  • Access details (credentials/keys depending on OS)
